I first wrote a testimonial several years ago in which I paid tribute to Paul and Centra Finance in obtaining the finance for our first investment property.
Since that time I have completed the purchase on our 8th investment property (in 2003) and recently obtained a LOC [line of credit] for investment in managed funds, and the credit for all of that must go to Ms Jasmine Kourouche.
The Bank staff involved were continually under-resourced
and consistently proved their inexperience, lack of training and general apathy.
Thanks to Jasmine's hard work, expertise and diligence, we achieved the
necessary finance, mostly at a fixed rate at 5.95% pa, and without the need to
cross-collateral to other properties. That last item is an absolute bonus.
Jasmine is a genius. I suspect she has been responsible for creating more
property millionaires than Peter Costello.

You might think that someone with a portfolio of around 50 properties would have no need of assistance from Centra. Not so – it is always preferable to use a good-quality broker when setting up a new mortgage, or doing a re-mortgage, to sort through all the possible alternatives.
It was all the more important in my own case because, although an Australian, I had never applied for a mortgage facility in Australia before. Although the general procedures are much the same in both UK and Australia, the actual detail is quite different. I was fortunate in getting guidance from Peach. Your staff were enormously patient, and really went out of her way. The number of e-mails we generated over several months was legion, but the application itself, thanks to all the prior work, was immediately successful.

I discussed my lending requirements with Garry initially and discussed options with him at some length over numerous telephone calls both within and outside office hours. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and at the same time straightforward. The resulting loan structure was a little more complex than usual - maximising the scope for me to claim taxation deductions in subsequent years - but by no means hugely complicated.
For no fault of mine - or Centra - my loan became immensely difficult for the lender. The number of times the lender got things wrong was truly astonishing. Throughout this, Jasmine my application manager was calm and wonderfully helpful and empathetic as well(!), often spending huge amounts of her time sorting things out with the lender. I am truly grateful to her, and expect we could well have lost our deposit on the new purchase without her help.

We earn commissions on the loans we settle for you.
The amount we earn differs for each loan and each loan product and lender. Our commissions are paid by the lender and range from 0.45% of the loan amount to 0.6% of the loan amount.
In some instances we may charge you an upfront brokerage fee for loans that have exceptional circumstances or are technically difficult. You will be advised of any charge to you prior to us proceeding with any loan. If brokerage fees are applicable, all applicants must sign an engagement authorisation prior to the loan proceeding.
Generally however, no brokerage fees are payable.
